A Working Mum

The End Is In Sight!
As you may be aware we’re moving next week, yes you read that correctly, NEXT WEEK!!! Time has just flown by. When we formally put an offer in for our new home in April it seemed such a long time until we were actually moving and now we’re at the stage of only 11 days to go … quite scary!!
We’re currently surrounded by boxes as you can imagine, but we’ve been keen to keep everything as normal as we can for our toddler and greyhound. I didn’t want our son to fret if we started to pack away his things so we’re planning on leaving that until the day before we move, our lad is going to stay overnight with his nana and papa that night. Our little lad seems to have other ideas though … we saw our little lad trying to pack his football in to a box!

We’re moving from a two-bed flat to a three-bed house and the house has actually been extended at the back which means that we’ll have two living rooms as well as a dining room, which is fantastic!! The only down side of that is that we don’t have enough furniture to properly furnish the new house … I can feel a purchase or two coming on …
We’re fortunate that the sellers of our new home are intending to leave their white goods, which are in excellent condition, which means that we can leave ours for our purchasers. The only kitchen item that we’ll need to buy is a new dishwasher, it’s not an essential item but when you’re used to a dishwasher it takes quite a bit of getting used to not having one!
However when it comes to the other rooms we’ll have to purchase another television, and as my OH used to work for Richer Sounds he’s quite keen to take a look at what they have on offer at the moment.
I did remember today to place an order for another couple of baby gates, we’ve currently got one on our lad’s bedroom but we’ll also need one for the bottom and another for the top of the stairs.
One thing that we would like to buy is some garden furniture buy we both know if we do that then our pathetic summer will continue as it is!! We have spotted some lovely tables and chairs but we'll have too see what our priorities are for our money once we're actually in our new house.
The list of things that we need to buy is slowly getting longer and longer … and just to add to our list our boiler has sprung a leak, which will need to be repaired before we vacate our flat next week … Does anyone know of a good plumber??
