Britax Product Recall
After discovering some handle problems on some Baby-Safe seats, Britax has recalled the affected models. Owners should stop using them immediately.
Britax says the seats affected were sold in Europe between February 1 and March 31, 2012. The problem, which Britax says is a quality issue, could result in the handle coming detached from the seat body, which may result in the infant carrier swinging, separating, or even falling to the ground when carrying the product.
To find out if your child's seat is affected, you'll need to check the product item number and the corresponding serial number from the stickers on the left side of the infant carrier (in the direction of the occupying child). The item number is located above the barcode on the white sticker.
The serial number is eight characters long and is located underneath the barcode on the orange ECE label. Once you have these numbers, visit the website www.baby-safe-recall.eu to check whether your product is affected or not.
